Instinctively we know that success primarily comes down to doing whatever it takes, but we find ingenious ways not to, don’t we?

I read an example yesterday of a woman who turned down a French job because she didn’t feel her French was good enough. Instead, she planned to listen to podcasts every day until she felt ready.

But what would have more quickly improved her French? Taking the French job!

There are a million examples anywhere you turn that it is so much simpler than you’re making it.

For the people who struggle with good sleep habits, have you tried pills, teas, or gummy melatonin? What about sleep apps and sleep-tracking devices? Or heated blankets, weighted blankets, and warm Epsom salt baths? But how often do you go to bed early, before you are tired, without a device, in a dark, silent room, at the same time each night?

Or, for the entrepreneurs in the room, raise your hand if more clients are the lifeline in your business, but even when pressed for time, you can’t stop spending countless hours on non-lead-generating activities.

We’ve all been guilty of overcomplicating the process, but why?
