Delulu Is the New Design: How to Build the World You Want to Live In
There was a time when Harry Potter didn’t exist. No Hogwarts, no wands, no Quidditch. Same with Pokémon, no Pikachu. Or Mario, no Princess Peach. Just an idea in someone’s head.
Somebody literally said: I’m going to take this thing in my head and make it real. And from that, entire worlds were born — books, movies, merchandise, memes, shared childhoods, and billion-dollar empires.
That’s World-Building
We may not all have a franchise in us, but we do have a vision. And whether we realize it or not, we’ve already co-created the world we live in.
Our choices, dreams, relationships, and homes all reflect what we once imagined. In many ways, we’re already living in our dreams.
So what if we did it again — on purpose?
You’ve Done It Before
You don’t have to invent a fantasy saga or a video game to be a world builder.
Think about the chapters of your life that consumed you — childhood play, planning a wedding, landing a big role, building a home. Each one required you to imagine a future, commit to it, and then build a world around it.
