A friend and I were messaging back and forth when she asked if I knew anyone who could help her market her business.

“I didn’t know you did that! she said, “I knew you coached moms and helped them build their businesses, but I didn’t know marketing was part of your expertise.”
“That’s what I did at HBO! Marketing, sales, and branding were kind of my thing.”

The exchange illustrates why it’s so important to constantly share your story, reinforce what you do, and connect with your audience at many levels. Your goal is that your audience knows who you are, what you do, who you do it for, how to take the next step with you, and when it’s time to work together.
