Hey, I watched your Ted Talk on this one day - that's you, right? - when it popped up in Google results as I searched for something else entirely. Here's the crazy part. You mentioned Brett Bearup (who was friends with my hubby), so it felt a little small-world fateful that I watched.

He told me to stop worrying about the odds of something happening or not and do what I want to do. And then, when he died, I remember thinking about the odds of that happening to him.

I don't know where I'm going with this, but your post made me want to share that. It's not just about telling people how you feel or that you care while you can; it's also about doing what you want to do and taking the risks you'll regret not trying.

I'm in the weird middle place where I have a lot of life before me, and I've lived a lot. I'm raising kids and growing a business; the responsibilities are heavy. And, I see frequent reminders that if I keep putting off my back-of-the-brain hairy scary goals, I might miss my window. I don't want to miss my window. That's my takeaway, and I'm glad this was in my feed today.
