I loved this post, disagreed with a lot of it, but thought you did a great job of bringing to the conversation many of the limiting beliefs that come up, especially at the beginning.
Ironically, comparing your 1st year in freelancing to your career is like comparing your real life to someone else’s Instagram feed. It’s not apples to apples; it’s the good and bad compared to a highlight reel. A more accurate comparison might be comparing your first year as a freelancer to your first year in your career. Either way, you’ve got to push through to the part that gets good, to the part you’re romancing.
I’m not trying to talk you into it, just saying, there’s a process, and yes, everyone should try it at least once. Increasingly, freelancing and entrepreneurship is an essential component of career advancement.
