Is it Harder to Climb the Corporate Ladder or Start a Business?
I remember feeling burnt out, frustrated, and trapped. My confidence was tied to my compensation. So twisted. I’m not sure when my job became my life, but there was no separation.
But then again, there was no future either. Was there? Where is it leading? One minute I loved it and saw myself as a big deal in my company and industry, but then I didn’t. Was it me? Was it them? Was it becoming a mom?
I wasn’t sure, but I didn’t have time to contemplate it. I barely had time for anything.
Money is important to me but not as important as family.
Money is important to me but not as important as family. So I said. But my choices betrayed me. My choices said money was the most important thing.
It’s unfair that mothers, that women, struggle with the consequences of becoming a parent on a different level than men. It affects us physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially.
