Journey Gratitude “Postcards”
Let Your Joy Be In Your Journey — Not In Some Distant Goal
As two of my four college besties turn 50, I’ve been reflecting on how meaningful it is to have friendships that span decades. We’re all juggling so much — careers, families, passions — yet we’ve managed to keep this 30-year friendship alive. These big milestones remind me how crucial it is to make time for those who fill us up.
Our touchpoints are rare, but when we connect, it’s like no time has passed. These are the friends who knew me before I was anyone’s wife, mother, or boss, and in a world full of demanding roles, especially for women, they offer a grounding force, an easy authenticity that doesn’t need polish or pretense.
These friends are my compass and anchors — as we journey through new stages, I’m grateful for how we keep each other grounded and inspired.
Celebrating 30 years with friends like these reminds me of the importance of making time for the people who know your history and make it easy to remember who you are.
This November, inspired by my besties and with a nod to how fast life flies by, I invite you to join me in 30 Days of Gratitude, this year with a travel theme aligned with my transformational travel coaching program, Journey.
