Picture This: Me in a Greek villa, Santorini or Corfu.
The sea breeze, my kids are playing outside, and my husband is calling to our dog. The warm sun is shining on my page while bronzing my shoulders. I’m writing something, and I’ve lost track of time.
I look goooood.
Deep sigh.
I want it so bad.
That’s the vision that I lock into when I want to make different choices.
A couple of days ago, my kiddos asked me if I would make a picnic for them and their friends. A mom across the street was contributing dino nuggets.
Would I make mac ’n’ cheese? Current me would, but would future me?
No way.
Future me doesn’t have a pantry full of Kraft or Annie’s. She would be enjoying the longevity of the Mediterranean diet.
So I made a big bowl of pasta caprese. I used the good noodles, the good truffle oil, and fresh herbs from our garden. They loved it, and it elevated the moment for all of us.
Was it a big deal? No, but it illustrates something fundamental about vision: When our choices align with our vision, it brings our dreams to life.
