Recognizing patterns before they fully reveal themselves allows us to take action — not out of fear but from clarity.

Preparation comes down to two things:

1. Psychological Resilience

Surviving turbulence isn’t just about logistics — it’s about mindset.

  • Stay Clear-Eyed — Fear paralyzes, but awareness empowers. Acknowledge the reality without spiraling into helplessness.
  • Learn from History — We’ve seen instability before. Those who kept their wits and stayed adaptable made it through.
  • Stay in the Fight — This isn’t the time to disengage — voting, organizing, supporting independent journalism, and engaging in advocacy matters.
  • Control What You Can — Focus on your immediate world — your household, work, and people. Influence what’s within your grasp. Let go of what isn’t.
  • Rest and Recharge — This is a marathon, not a sprint. Burnout helps no one. Protect your energy so you can show up when it counts.
