This is so good and right on time. I was thinking this morning about our dog. She’s an old girl, and her time is nearing. She’s the constant in our marriage and family, but only a third of my life. It’s weird to think of the indelible impression she’s left. Speaking of sentimental feelings…
I loved the story about the hut, too. That’s pretty much motherhood: Every day, constructing everything in your power possible to make them happy, keep them safe, meet their needs, and let them grow, even as you know tomorrow, you’ll have to do it all again. But it will be different because your children are different, and everything changes.
Great post.
