Most of my clients have already had a fair amount of success. They feel confident about their contribution and capabilities, but they feel less optimistic about doing it during their children’s childhoods.

They see how fast it’s going and what they are missing out on at home. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that clashes with how hard they’ve worked to get where they are.

They start to feel like something is wrong with them because they want more. They have so much, and they want more, and the whole world is telling them they are selfish and privileged, and why isn’t it enough and why can’t they just be happy, and who the hell do they think they are.

I don’t have all of the answers, but I have been through it, and when I was in your shoes, this is what I wish someone would have told me.

This isn’t unknown.

We don’t say that often enough.

You aren’t the first person who felt like this.

You aren’t the first woman who had a dream come true that led to an even bigger dream. That doesn’t make you greedy.
