You made a strong case; it's just that dads don't need defending from big bad advertising. They are grown men! I mean, who really worries about the message their children are getting from the media? Only the parent who is reinforcing it at home. Not to mention the media portrayal of women is infinitely more troubling.

One more note: Raising our girls does not happen at the expense of destroying our boys - That's not a thing.
